Breast Lift/Breast Reduction

The ultimate goal of a mastopexy or breast lift procedure is not merely to lift, but to create breasts with considerable projection and perkiness and also a beautiful natural tear drop shape.

Creation of breast projection is the most exciting challenge in mastopexy (breast lift) surgery.

No breast implants were used on this patient.

This young lady had a breast reduction and a breast lift at the same time. The before and after pictures you see here of her breast reduction and breast lift show the result 4 years after her operation. As you can see the scars can fade very well over time and this is important for patient to know.

I love this result because I gave this patient what I consider the perfect breast shape.

On the front view you can see that her breasts are round and perky just like if she would have breast implants placed. But she does not have breast implants! Her new breasts have better shape and projection due to the breast technique used. By re-arranging of the breast tissue a good plastic surgeon can mold the breasts and give them a round and perky shape.

On the side views you can see that she very natural breast shape. She has a tear-drop shaped breast. That is the most natural breast shape and therefore in many eyes the most beautiful breast shape.

This patient lost 200 pounds on her own. Impressive will power! I told her she did the very hard part. Now the plastic surgery part is the easy part.

In the before and after pictures you se the extreme sagging of her breasts. I did a mastopexy on her. It is also called breast lift. How do you create a breast that is perky in a patient like this with very little breast tissue? Most plastic surgeons would have used a breast implant. However a breast implant is not needed to create round perky breasts. A plastic surgeon can create a youthful breast by re-arranging the breast tissue. That is part of the art of plastic surgery.

This lady in addition had so much skin that extended to her armpit and bra area. That had to be dealt with too. You treat excess saggy skin by removing it. Doing it in conjunction with the breast lift helps.

When patients have bariatric surgery such as lap band surgery or gastric bypass surgery they develop usually excessive breast ptosis or sagginess. This requires skilled plastic surgery to correct.
