Mission Statement and Practice Philosophy
Los Angeles Plastic Surgery
Dr. John Anastasatos
I treat all my patients with dignity, respect, humanity, humility, and open-mindedness. There is no judgment ever in my plastic surgery practice. Instead, I create a safe and sacred space for understanding, compassion, and revitalization.
I understand that the consideration of a plastic surgery procedure can be a fearful thought. It is hard to trust someone with your body, appearance, image, likeness, and vision of yourself. Therefore, I shall be patient with you until you feel comfortable to proceed, and I will make the process hassle-free.
I treat my profession with accountability. It represents an honor and privilege for me to take care of you, and be the catalyst of your transformation and renewal.
I will not “sell” you any operation or procedure. Instead, I will offer you insightful and educational consultations. I shall present you the state-of-the-art scientific information that will serve as the framework within which you can make educated and well-informed choices for yourself. I shall help you make those mature choices.
I practice with integrity and accountability and I shall treat you just like I treat my family.
My love and passion for the practice of plastic surgery is constant, limitless and expansive. The work that I perform goes far beyond any remarkable physical results that I may offer my patients. It extends deeper because I get to change the self-image.
Self-image is the core of a person’s mental and spiritual concept of oneself and represents their basic framework of personality and behavior. Self-image sets the boundaries of individual accomplishment. It defines a person’s abilities. Expand the self, and you expand the spectrum of what is possible and available.
If I change your face I shall change your future. If I change your body I can change your personality, behavior, and even your basic talents and abilities. The development of an adequate self-image empowers an individual with new capabilities, and can even turn failure into success. Imagine that.
When I improve someone’s self-image I change what is possible and available in that person’s life and future. That is a better life. That is the ultimate promise of plastic surgery. As a complete plastic surgeon I do not only rely on superior technical skills, but I also combine psychological analysis with high aesthetic prowess.
I have been practicing plastic surgery for 20 years. I have recognized that the successful outcome in aesthetic plastic surgery is not what the plastic surgeon perceives. The successful outcome in cosmetic plastic surgery is achieved when the plastic surgeon sincerely and deeply understands your vision for yourself, and then delivers that vision to you. Therefore, the successful outcome in aesthetic plastic surgery can actually be subjective and pertains to your own individual pursuit of happiness. You have the right to that happiness, and the lifestyle you deserve and imagine.
I will not perform on you an operation that I prefer or like. Instead, I will perform what you like, what is right for you, and what we agree together.
I am motivated by a strong innate personal need to offer superior and extraordinary results to my patients. My work is my passion and life.
I am happy with myself only when my work stands out and is exceptional. My profession is my calling and I dedicate many hours daily to advance my skills and continuously innovate, evolve and perfect what I offer. This is my service and pledge to you.
My approach to your care is always balanced and patient-centered. It is a privilege to serve you.
