Restylane-L Defyne, Lyft and Refyne Injection Treatments

All formulas of Restylane-L (the “L” is for lidocaine to reduce any discomfort) are hyaluronic acid-based. Hyaluronic acid collects moisture under the skin to give it volume and firmness. However, the different formulas are designed to treat varied depths in the skin. For superficial volume near the skin’s surface or under delicate skin, a thinner formula that is more flexible is used for improved smoothness. Deeper lines need a thicker formula for firmness. The differences in the formulas offered by Restylane are as follows:

• Lyft – This formula is used for adding volume to the cheeks or hands under the skin. It is the first HA filler that was FDA-approved for addressing thinner skin on the hands.
• Refyne – With Refyne, mild to moderate smile lines can be smoothed, while still allowing natural facial movement.
• Defyne – For more pronounced or deeper nasolabial folds or lines, Defyne can add the needed volume while still staying flexible.
