Breast Augmentation Revision

This beautiful lady had a breast augmentation by another plastic surgeon before coming to us. Her implants were placed over the muscle and were subglandular. They were stiff and hard and were causing this patient discomfort and pain. This was partly because the prior surgeon created very tight breast implant pockets. Aesthetically they had a “stiff“ and “hard“ look and the patient wanted correction. Furthermore they were placed asymmetrically and especially on the sides she had contour irregularities and skin depressions. She had textured high profile silicone breast implants.

I removed her prior breast implants. I cleaned the beast implant pockets. I did capsulectomies and capsulotomies and I closed her previous subglandular breast implant pockets.

Then I created new breast pockets that were muscular.
The majority of the surface of her new breast implants were covered by the pectoral muscles and then the breast tissue. This is an example of dual plane breast augmentation.

The implants I used were smooth surface cohesive silicone gels and their profile was moderate plus.

She was very pleased by her transformation, look, softness and feel.

This patient had a breast augmentation surgery done by another surgeon. She came to me to have a revision surgery and to get the breasts she always wanted. Her breasts gained very natural look, symmetry, and severe rippling of her implants was also corrected. She also has a beautiful cleavage now.

This patient had a prior breast augmentation by another plastic surgeon. You can see her results in her before pictures. Obviously there many problems with her before surgery. The cause of her problems though comes from improper breast implant placement during her first breast augmentation surgery.

I did her breast revision surgery and the results and the change in breast shape is obvious. Her breasts are more feminine and better shape and better breast projection.

I did a removal and replacement of her breast implants. Her previous plastic surgeon made a big incision in her breast fold so I had to use the same old incision in order to avoid giving her new incisions on her breasts. That is why her incisions look rather long. That would not be my choice. I placed new breast implants in her. The new breast implants were cohesive silicone gel breast implants. They were high profile breast implants. The cohesive gel implants are also called gummy bear type breast implants. The breast implant volumes are 450cc in each breast.

This patient required a lot of breast corrections. I had to lower her breast pockets. I had to revise her breast pockets completely. I had to remove existing breast scar tissue. I had to expand the breast capsule and breast pocket.

This lovely patient had multiple prior breast augmentation surgeries done by another surgeon, but kept getting capsular contracture every time. She underwent another breast augmentation revision, capsular contracture correction, and also correction of the deformed nipples from her prior surgeries by using her own tissue. Her breasts look symmetric, have natural tear-drop shape that she wanted, and she has a nice cleavage now. The deformity between her breasts was corrected. As you can see in the photos, she had a severe case where some of the capsule tissue was removed.

This patient wanted a refinement of her prior breast augmentation surgery that she had with another plastic surgeon.She also had palpable and visible rippling (breast ripples).

The main thing she wanted was to correct her breast asymmetry. You can see how her breasts were uneven. She also wanted her breasts more lifted and with more volume. She wanted them more perky.

She had removal of he prior r breast implants that were saline 450cc and replacement with new breast implants that were saline 600cc. In order to place larger implants I had to revise her breast pockets and do capsulotomies and partial capsulectomies. She also had correction of her asymmetry. Although her new breasts are not completely symmetric they appear more even. Her rippling was markedly improved.

The breast symmetry is improved. She also had an internal breast lift .

Our wonderful patient had prior breast augmentation surgery by other plastic surgeons. She presented to us with breast asymmetry and severe nipple-areolar distortion. Her prior surgeries were through the nipple-areolar complex. Those prior surgeries and scars resulted in the severe deformities you see. Dr. Anastasatos performed breast revision, breast implant replacement, and breast reconstruction. The patient had 660 cc High profile implants & Dr. Anastasatos replaced them with 750 cc High Profile gel implants.
The reconstruction was performed using the patient’s own tissues.

Patient had saline implants placed in the past under the muscle, they are also partially deflated. She came to us wanting new implants, bigger breasts, and to have a lift without having scars. The operation performed was removing and replacing breast implants with new 600 cc high profile silicone implants. New position was created for implants over the muscle, and internal lift was achieved.
