Most are made with hyaluronic acid, which collects moisture under the skin to add volume. What makes Radiesse different is it is not a hyaluronic acid filler. It is formulated with calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres in a gel substance that can be injected into areas of the skin that need added volume and firmness.

Radiesse microspheres offer immediate volume to fill deeper lines and folds in the skin, but also stimulate collagen production. The microspheres act as a scaffolding that the collagen can use to rebuild firmer skin. Over the months following Radiesse injections, the skin continues to increase in collagen levels. This can offer longer-lasting results that improve the overall texture and firmness of the skin, reducing lines and folds that are caused by aging skin.
