In a forehead lift, the muscles and tissues that cause the furrowing or drooping are removed or altered to smooth the forehead, raise the eyebrows and minimize frown lines. The conventional surgical method has the incision hidden just behind the hairline. Another option is with the use of an endoscope, requiring only tiny incisions to access the skin and tissue to perform a brow lift – a technique that Dr. Anastasatos prefers. A forehead or brow lift is often combined with other lift procedures, like a facelift or blepharoplasty (eyelid lift).
