Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)
Facelift, Neck Lift, Brow Lift & Upper and Lower Eyelids Surgery

Upper eyelid hooding gave this patient a constant tired and aged look. Notice how after the surgery, her eyes gained an instant refreshed look, her eyes have opened up more, and the shape is more defined. The eyelid muscle was repaired in order to properly elevate the eyelid.
Upper & Lower Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)

This prominent man is a field where he addresses very large groups of people on a daily basis. His eyes made him look always tired and sad despite the fact he is a very dynamic man.
I performed upper and lower eyelid surgeries at the same time. Notice that the eye shape did not change. Many people are concerned about the eye shape changing after this kind of surgery. The eye shape does not change if the eyelid surgery is done right. There is some redness of the lower eyelids. This has to do with the fact the result is soon after surgery and represents healing .Notice also how much younger he looks and how much more well rested, fresh and more engaging! He is very happy with his results.
Eyelid Surgery (Blepahroplasty) & Facial Rejunevation with Deep Chemical Peel

This lady was one my first patients when I came to California and came to me after I did an abdominoplasty surgery to her daughter.
I performed upper eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) and a deep chemical peel to her whole face. In terms of facial resurfacing I use both chemical peels and lasers. I must admit though that the results a skilled plastic surgeon can get with a single chemical peel treatment can be amazing. The best chemical peels and time tested for efficacy and new collagen production are the TCA peel and the Phenol peel. I chose the peel based on each patient’s individual skin type. I customize
my treatments.
I am please with how “open” the eyes look in this patient of mine after the surgery. Furthermore I love how beautiful and fresh the skin of the face and eyes looks after the deep peel treatment. She looks so much younger and more feminine. In addition her tired and weathered look is gone and now replaced with a youthful and fresh look.
Upper and Lower Eyelid Surgery (Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty)

This patient also had upper and lower eyelid surgery. Notice the dramatic change in her look yet with a very natural outcome.
Eyelid Surgery (Upper Blepharoplasty)

This lady had upper eyelid surgery. That is called an upper blepharoplasty. The results to her eyelids but also to her whole expression are obvious.
Facelift, Neck Lift & Lower Eyelid Cosmetic Surgery

This lady had a facelift, neck lift and lower eyelid cosmetic surgery. All these procedures where done together. Doing certain procedures together yields a more harmonious result.
With the facelift surgery I always do a midface suspension of the soft tissues under the skin. This is important because I do not rely on the skin tension for good results. This creates a very natural looking face.
At the neck level I did neck liposuction, and muscle tightening (platysma). Tightening the neck muscles is what creates the beautiful neck. Off course I do always remove the skin excess but that is a minor part of the cosmetic operation.
At the lower eyelid level I removed some fat and skin and re-positioned the rest of the fat of the orbit. I also tightened the eyelid muscles.
The result that you see is 6 months following the cosmetic operation (facelift and necklift).
Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty

This lady had an upper and lower blepharoplasty. This means an upper and lower eyelid surgery.
Blepharoplasty: Lower Eyelid Surgery

The puffiness of lower eyelids gave this patient a constant tired and aged look. Notice how after the lower blepharoplasty his eyes gained an instant refreshed look, and the puffiness is gone.
Upper and Lower Eyelid Surgery - Blepharoplasty

This is a very good case that illustrates many valuable educational points. Please notice the deep wrinkles around her eyes and particularly at the corner of the eyes. We call these wrinkles “crow’s feet wrinkles”. They do not go away after upper and lower blepharoplasty surgery like this patient had. There are some techniques that may help reduce their prominent appearance but when they are so deep these wrinkles cannot go away after blepharoplasty surgery. This is the key point I wish to make in this case. That such prominent wrinkles cannot away after they have become so deep sited and present for many years. Once again this is why I am a proponent of preventive measures such as botox/disport and fillers like hyaluronic acid.
Please also notice the natural result this lady has had after her upper and lower blepharoplasty surgery. The eyes did not change shape, which is a common concern of many women. Furthermore the look of this patient is fresh, youthful and well rested. A very natural looking result.
